As Canadian interest rates remain near all time lows, I took a few moments tonight to check up on what High Interest Savings Account rates are paying. Most of the major banks are still offering 0.75% on Canadian deposits. 6 months ago Home Trust was offering 1.30%, but now the rate offered is 1.05%. Still the best rate on $100,000 of demand money, but still not much.
